How to Play Mines
Set Number of Mines
Choose between 1 and 24 mines on a 5x5 grid. More mines means higher multipliers but lower chances of survival.
Place Your Bet
Enter the amount you want to wager. Your potential payout increases with each safe tile you reveal.
Reveal Safe Tiles
Click tiles one at a time. Each safe tile increases your multiplier. Hit a mine and you lose your entire bet.
Cash Out Any Time
After revealing at least one safe tile, you can cash out at the current multiplier. The longer you wait, the higher the reward but greater the risk.

How It Works
Mines is played on a 5x5 grid (25 tiles total). Before the round starts, the positions of all mines are randomly and provably fairly determined. The multiplier for each revealed tile is calculated as 0.99 divided by the probability of surviving to that point.
For example, with 3 mines and 1 tile revealed, the probability is 22/25 = 0.88, giving a multiplier of 0.99/0.88 = 1.13x. As you reveal more tiles, the remaining safe tiles become scarcer, causing the multiplier to grow exponentially. This compounding risk is what makes Mines strategically interesting.
Strategy Tips
With 3-5 mines, reveal 3-4 tiles for a good balance of risk and reward. Higher mine counts offer bigger multipliers per tile but dramatically increase the chance of hitting a mine. Always set a target multiplier and cash out when you reach it.
Low Mines, Many Clicks
With 1-3 mines, you can safely reveal 5-8 tiles for a moderate multiplier. The probability of hitting a mine per tile is low (4-12%), making this a grinding strategy.
High Mines, Quick Cashout
With 20+ mines, each revealed tile gives a massive multiplier boost. Even 1-2 tiles can yield 5x-25x. Cash out fast because the probability drops sharply.
Use the Calculator
Our Mines calculator shows the exact probability and payout for any combination of mines and tiles revealed. Use it to plan exactly how many tiles to reveal before cashing out.
Corner Strategy
Some players click corners first, believing mines cluster in the center. In reality, mine placement is uniformly random — every tile has equal odds. Choose tiles based on your target multiplier, not position.

Mines can produce large payouts quickly, but a single mine hit wipes your bet. Keep bets at 1-2% of bankroll for 1-5 mines, and 0.5% or less for 10+ mines. Set a target number of tiles to reveal before each game starts and stick to it — impulse clicking is the biggest bankroll killer.
