How to Play Dice
Set Win Probability
Use the slider to set your win chance from 2% to 98%. A higher chance means lower payout, and vice versa.
Choose Over or Under
Predict whether the rolled number (0-99.99) will be over or under your target. Both have the same RTP.
Place Your Bet
Enter your bet amount. The payout multiplier is displayed based on your selected win chance.
Roll and Win
Click roll. If the result matches your prediction, you win your bet multiplied by the payout. Results are provably fair.

How It Works
Stake Dice generates a random number between 0.00 and 99.99 (10,000 possible outcomes). You set a target number and bet on whether the roll will be over or under that target. The payout multiplier is calculated as 0.99 × (100 / win_chance), where win_chance is the percentage of outcomes that win.
For example, if you set a 50% win chance, the payout is 0.99 × (100/50) = 1.98x. At 25% win chance, the payout is 0.99 × (100/25) = 3.96x. The house edge is always exactly 1%, making Dice one of the most transparent games mathematically.
Strategy Tips
A 50% win chance at approximately 1.98x is a balanced starting point. For Martingale strategies, use a low base bet with a 50% win chance. For high-risk plays, target multipliers above 10x but expect long losing streaks between wins.
High Win Chance Grinding
Set 90%+ win chance for very low multipliers (1.1x) but highly consistent wins. You will lose roughly 1 in 10 rolls, making this ideal for slow bankroll building.
Balanced 50/50 Play
A 50% win chance with 1.98x payout is the simplest strategy. Each win nearly doubles your bet. Easy to understand and great for beginners.
Avoid Martingale
Doubling your bet after each loss seems logical but exponentially increases risk. A streak of 7+ losses can happen more often than expected and will destroy your bankroll.
Use Auto-Roll Wisely
Auto-roll can execute thousands of bets per hour. Always set stop conditions: stop on profit target, stop on loss limit, and maximum number of rolls.
Martingale Preset (Use With Caution)
Stake's built-in Martingale preset doubles your bet after each loss and resets to base bet after a win. While this is a commonly requested feature, it exponentially increases risk. A 7-loss streak (which occurs roughly once every 128 rolls at 50% win chance) would require 128x your base bet. Only use with a very small base bet relative to your bankroll (0.1% or less).
Paroli (Reverse Martingale)
The Paroli preset doubles your bet after each WIN instead of each loss. After 3 consecutive wins, it resets to the base bet. This limits downside risk while capturing short winning streaks. At 50% win chance, you will hit 3 consecutive wins roughly once every 8 attempts. The maximum risk per cycle is your base bet, making this safer than traditional Martingale.
D'Alembert (Slow Progression)
The D'Alembert strategy increases your bet by one unit after a loss and decreases by one unit after a win. This creates a much flatter progression than Martingale, with lower variance and smaller drawdowns. It is best suited for sessions near 50% win chance where you expect roughly equal wins and losses. While no betting system changes the house edge, D'Alembert offers a gentler ride than aggressive doubling strategies.

Dice is one of the safest games for bankroll management due to its low variance at high win chances. For 90%+ win chance, bet up to 5% of your bankroll per roll. For 50% win chance, keep it at 2%. For low win chance (under 10%), drop to 0.5% per bet. The key is matching your bet size to the selected win probability.
